Do you know about the Panera Cares Community Cafe?

The Panera Cares Community Cafe in Dearborn is one of three Panera Bread cafes nationally that provide the full Panera Bread menu on a donation-only basis. That means that those who can afford to pay, do, and those that cannot, can pay whatever they can afford - or volunteer in exchange for their meal. Through this special initiative, Panera feeds over 1 million people a year who otherwise could not afford a meal.

In addition, Panera Cares uses any extra funds that they receive above expenses to further help out the community.  The Panera Cares Community Cafe in Dearborn gives their proceeds to the United Way for Southeastern Michigan.
