Fiduciary for:

In our Community Based mentoring program, volunteer mentors (“Bigs”) generally meet with their mentees (“Littles”) once a week to share time, experiences and activities that enrich the lives of both. Volunteers receive orientation, training and ongoing support, and families are referred to community resources for other needs. BBBSMD specialists monitor the ongoing safety of the child, talk through issues of the relationship, assess areas of youth development identified during intake, and solicit feedback on participant’s satisfaction with the match relationship. In this project, a sub-target population through our Amachi program focuses on children of incarcerated parents.
