Project Learn develops the skills and knowledge young people learn at school through "high-yield" learning activities. Based on Dr. Reginald Clark's research that shows fun coupled with academically beneficial activities increases academic performance. These activities include leisure reading, writing activities, homework help, tutoring, strength-based programs - modeled by Marcus Buckingham - and additional activities which develop young people's cognitive skills. Youth are given opportunities to expand their understanding of the world through field trips to educational institutions, area businesses and attended regional and national leadership conferences. Project Learn emphasizes collaborations between Club staff, community volunteers, parents and school personnel.
