Catholic Social Services of Wayne County
Fiduciary for:
As an adoption agency with 62 years of service we will use UWSEM funds to handle hard to place clients who are "aging out" of the system. By transforming our case-management approach to a unit driven service we will be able to increase our focus, professionalism and more effectively train staff to focus on older hard to place clients.
CSSWC's Parent & Children Literacy Center was funded exclusively for the Literacy Theatre. The original proposal sought to fund a comprehensive center designed to assist parents, students and guardians to work in partnership with the school district and other support agencies like CSSWC to improve the reading skill and comprehension of students. The proposal also created the financial support for case management, mentors and other direct support to the student and parent. CSSWC will use its designated donor contributions to provide additional academic services like reading assessments and enrichment to assist the student in reading at grade level.
