Child Abuse & Neglect Council of Oakland, Inc.
Fiduciary for:
The crisis intervention project is a partnership of Oakland County’s law enforcement agencies, the Prosecutor’s Office and Children’s Protective Services that convenes a centralized multidisciplinary team for the investigation of child sexual abuse and severe physical abuse. A memorandum of understanding signed by the leaders of these organizations verifies the commitment to collaboratively investigate such abuse cases for all Oakland County children, up to age 13, using the Child Abuse Protocol. Forensic interviews are conducted by the agency’s expert staff in a child focused environment, thereby minimizing the trauma, ensuring the child’s safety and providing supportive services to promote healing.
