First Step has an exceptional, 30 year history of providing both crisis intervention and prevention services for adult and child survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault as well as comprehensive involvement in systems change efforts. First Step will meet the critical need for quality domestic violence and sexual services in Wayne County. With the support of United Way, programming will include safe/emergency housing, assistance with criminal justice matters, and the engagement of community members as volunteers. Collaborating with systems, we will deliver culturally competent, comprehensive, and essential services.

With the support of United Way, programming will include individual/group counseling, parent education, family fun activities, and training for child care providers. Collaborating with systems, we will deliver culturally competent, comprehensive, and essential services for perhaps the most vulnerable victims, the children
