MCCD assists service providers, elected officials, and justice professionals in the UWSEM area with establishing policies, programs and strategies to improve the juvenile and criminal justice systems. This assistance focuses on the access to and delivery of research-based prevention and treatment programs through community planning efforts, changing state laws and policies, providing technical assistance on proven programs, and keeping the field informed on the latest research and strategies. This project focuses on equipping justice officials, service providers and citizens to reduce crime through the effective provision of services to parolees.
