This program is design to assist uninsured or underinsured stroke, spinal cord and traumatic brain injury patients in providing them with research based medical treatment, appropriate physical therapy, transportation, and necessary equipment so they can recover from their injury and adjust to living life without limitation despite their injuries. The Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan will work with patients and family members to ensure that patients are receiving their treatment on time and without obstacles. Case workers assess the situation and work with physicians, therapists, and other specialists to make sure all the patients’ necessary needs are met. Last year 1,562 received some assistance from our hospital.
