The YouthBuild Detroit/AmeriCorps programs serves disadvantaged youth between the ages of 18 and 24 who did not complete high school. They participate in an eight month full-time program of on-the-job residential construction training, GED education, job and life skills classes, counseling and support services. Exposure to career options and post-secondary education, entrepreneurial training, and job placement assistance is offered upon completion.
